Openhack is proud to announce its participation as an ecosystem partner of the Restart the Future initiative launched today, 16th November 2020.
Restart the Future is a powerful one-year initiative to help build 1000 new companies. With unemployment rising to 9.2% in Sweden, 14 of the country’s leading companies have come together to form Restart the Future, a one-year initiative to help build 1000 new companies, in order to create new jobs, strengthen the economy, and to build a bright future for Sweden. The initiative consists of an online startup school, an idea competition, as well as ongoing coaching and events to help driven and inventive individuals become the founders of the future.
The initiative was founded by Antler, a global early-stage venture capital firm on a mission to fundamentally improve the world by enabling and investing in the world's most exceptional people building the defining companies of tomorrow. It is backed by 13 of Sweden’s leading companies: Ericsson, Carnegie, Stena, Nordea, Amazon Web Services, Max Matthiessen, ARC, Ramboll, Lannebo Fonder, Werlabs, Mavenir, Mondial and Baker McKenzie.
Openhack will be looking to enhance conditions for future entrepreneurs to ideate, develop and, of course, hack on the wicked problems they will aim to solve.
